We have two consultants:
Bruce Hatton Registered Consultant (Arboricultural Association). Dip. Arb. (RFS). MICFor. F. Arbor. A. Tech. Cert. Arbor A.
Bruce has worked in the arboricultural industry since 1987 and until early 2008, was also a Director of Treemenders Limited, a contracting company in Northamptonshire.
He is a Registered Consultant and a Fellow of the Arboricultural Association, recently qualifying as a Chartered Forester with the Institute of Chartered Foresters.
Bruce's qualifications include the Technical Certificate in Arboriculture (1996) and the Professional Diploma in Arboriculture (1997).
He is qualified to undertake thorough examinations of equipment under the LOLER regulations.
Bruce has achieved the advanced level of technical competence of a VTA Practitioner with Elite Training, awarded by Claus Mattheck.
He has also undergone full training and is a licence holder of the Association of Mortgage Users and Insurance Group Subsidence Risk Assessment module, now regulated by CAS (Consulting Arborists Society).
Bruce was National Chairman of the Arboricultural Association during 2002-2003 and prior to that was Chairman of the Association’s Professional Committee. He has been an assessor for the Association's Approved Contractor scheme and also served as the industry's representative on the AFAG panel responsible for the production of industry best practice guides.
Phil Scott-Collins Dip. Arb. (RFS). F. Arbor. A. BTec. ND. Arb.
Phil achieved the BTec National Diploma in Arboriculture in 1985 and has much Local Authority experience in Leeds and Enfield and most recently as Senior Tree & Woodlands Officer for Northampton Borough Council.
Phil joined Treemenders Ltd in 2001 as Arboricultural Consultant, with special responsibilites for managing the highways network for Carillion.
He achieved the Professional Diploma in Arboriculture in 1997 and became a Fellow of the Arboricultural Association.
Phil served as Chairman of the Arboricultural Association’s Local Authority Committee and as an Assessor for the Association's Approved Contractor scheme.
Phil is also a licence holder of the Association of Mortgage Users and Insurance Group Subsidence Risk Assessment module, now regulated by CAS (Consulting Arborists Society).
